After a three-year hiatus, our signature Rhone blend is back! Our 2008 through 2020 Turnabout's Fair Play were inspired by the ascendant wines of the Priorat region of Catalonia, Spain. Our 2023 Turnabout's Fair Play is our first homage to the great wines of Chateauneuf du Pape in France, blending 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, fermented together to create a complex, seamless, super elegant expression of Cedarville Vineyard. Graceful, with a quiet power, red fruited, crisp, juicy, with precise chalky tannins, and a pretty finish. It showcases the synergy of flavors on our estate, the true essence of our Estate vineyard. Ready to enjoy now, it pairs beautifully with black olive tapenade, aioli, grilled salmon seasoned with salt, pepper, and paprika. Organically farmed.

Tasting Notes
Our first Turnabout's Fair Play release since the 2017 vintage. Low Grenache yields were the culprit,
preventing a 2018 and 2019 Turnabout's. This wine continues to be an homage to my favorite Priorat
wines of Catalonia, Spain, once again a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
What makes this vintage extra special to me is for the first time all three grapes varieties were picked
on the same day, combined into the same fermentor (what us winemakers call a "co-fermentation"), and
allowed to ferment with ambient yeast. My goal for co-fermentation is to marry (integrate) the flavors of each
variety quickly, rather than waiting to blend the three later in the winemaking process. I'm delighted with the results.
Dark red fruits, espresso, creamy notes, powerful and elegant, with chalky, seamless tannins, and excellent
synergy of flavor. Truly ready to enjoy at release, bring this wine to a paella party, and perhaps slice some dried
Spanish chorizo, or grill a salmon filet with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. I'm proud, and smitten.
